Coffee talk

At about mid afternoon everyday for the past week, I’ve been exploring different cafes in Santa Monica. Interesting enough, I realized that most of them do only table service. Once, I tried explaining to her I will pay up front and take it to the table but was rejected and told to sit down and wait to be served. Appreciate the kind hospitality but left after a few minutes. Isn’t it common courtesy to explain to customers? Or perhaps the coffee culture here is almost immaculately unbending?

Overheard a conversation about hospitality business, “that means dealing with a lot of crap, but still satisfy customer service”. That’s what we are in for. Are we not?

Seeking for organic fair trade coffee, cosy ambience, nice people, and a comfortable chair.
