moka pot, coffee time

March 5, 2012 § Leave a comment

Being titled as a coffee snob is not cool, but I enjoy coffee in it’s purest form, untainted with heaps of sugar and cream. So often I have a latte or cuppa for it’s straight pungent espresso and creamy blend, creating a beautiful latte art.

As of recent, I was handed a Moka pot. It’s an Italian coffee pot, placed on a stove with some water, and with pressure, it rises through the funnel, coffee grounds and into the upper chamber. Watching and waiting for the water to boil, was quite exciting. When the hissing sound finally came, I gathered myself and as a relish, brought out grandma’s old coffee cup.

Sipping the Brazilian Kava blend, I admire the beauty of simple coffee breaks with friends or a thoughtless moment for one. To carry on the day, until the sun sets and it’s time to head home.
